At the congregational meeting held on Sunday, May 22, 2022, the congregation extended a call to The Rev. Carrie N. Ballenger to be Pastor at University Lutheran Church. A separate vote approved a pay package (based on what was approved at the annual meeting in February). Pastor Ballenger accepted the call upon hearing the news.
We look forward to seeing Pastor Ballenger in August. Her current position is as an ELCA missionary, and her contract is through the end of June. She then must orchestrate an international move. We will settle on a start date once the logistics are known.
Many thanks to the staff and volunteers who have extended themselves during this interim to allow the life of the church to continue normally.
