Our Sunday worship service takes place at 10:30 am. Following Lutheran tradition, every week we follow a liturgy, or order of worship, in which we hear God’s word in scripture, hear a sermon to explore the week’s lessons, share prayers, greet each other, and celebrate the Eucharist. Pastor Carrie Ballenger and Pastor Gracious Moyo typically lead worship services at UniLu. Preachers include our pastors and staff, chaplains from nearby campus ministries, and Lutheran students at local divinity schools; laypeople serve as assisting ministers.
We love to sing! Hymns come from the Lutheran hymnal, from the Taizé community, and from many other sources. Our organist and choir provide music every week, with plenty of ways to get involved. Every week, we have refreshments and social time before and after the service.
