Beginning on Thursday, November 12, Pastor Gracious Moyo will lead a joint UniLu-Concordia Lutheran Church study of the books of 1 and 2 Peter on Thursday evenings over Zoom. In a world filled with shifting culture, uncertainty, and daily challenges, Peter’s letters offer a powerful reminder of who we are in Christ and where our true hope lies.
Over eight weeks, we will journey chapter-by-chapter through both epistles, anchoring our hearts in timeless truth:
- Our Living Hope & Holiness — Discovering the imperishable inheritance we have in Christ and what it means to live holy lives today (1 Peter 1–2).
- Identity & Relationships — Understanding our role as a “royal priesthood” and living out Christlike grace in our marriages, workplaces, and communities (1 Peter 2–3).
- Faithful Stewardship — Learning how to serve one another, shepherd our homes and churches, and stand firm in times of trial (1 Peter 4–5).
- Growth, Truth & the Future — Cultivating Christian virtues, discerning truth from deception, and living with joyful anticipation of Christ’s return (2 Peter 1–3).
To sign up, please email Pastor Gracious at gmoyo@unilu.org. Each session will last from 7 to 7:50 pm and will include time for teaching, open group discussion, and prayer support. A Zoom link and handout will be shared before the first session. All are welcome!
