We are grateful for the life of Bill Frutiger, a longtime member of University Lutheran Church, who died on December 20, 2023. Bill’s ready smile and warm greetings made UniLu “home” for many generations of newcomers and students. “We rejoice that Bill is reunited with his beloved wife, Elizabeth, and that they now feast together at the banquet that has no end,” Pastor Carrie Ballenger wrote to the congregation on December 21. Our prayers are with Bill and Liz’s children, Elizabeth and John; their families; and Bill’s many friends.

A Celebration of Life took place on Saturday, February 3, 2024 at UniLu. Gifts in Bill’s memory may be given to University Lutheran Church and designated for the Harvard Square Homeless Shelter.
