Jonathan Mott joined the UniLu staff as interim choir director in September 2014, and was promoted to music director—choir in January 2015. Originally from the Boston area, Jonathan received a B.A. in music from Boston College, studying composition with Thomas Oboe Lee and Ralf Gawlick and conducting with John Finney, and an M.M. in choral conducting from Boston University, where he studied with Scott Allen Jarrett, David Hoose, and George Case. Outside of his work at UniLu, Jonathan serves as resident conductor of Harvard University’s premier mixed chorus, the Harvard-Radcliffe Collegium Musicum, where he prepared the chorus in its 2018 performance of Arthur Honegger’s Jeanne d’Arc au Bûcher. Jonathan formerly served as assistant conductor of the Back Bay Chorale, where he led the Chorale’s “BRIDGES” outreach efforts and conducted the Chorale’s March 2017 concert, Essential Voices: Da Pacem.

Previously, she served St. Peter’s Episcopal Cathedral in Helena, Montana as their youth minister and cathedral administrator.
