Weather permitting, the UniLu Preparedness Task Force and UniLu Worship Committee are planning a small outdoor in-person Compline service for Sunday, July 19, at 7:00 pm at Chris Pollari and Ann Ferentz’s home in Arlington (Massachusetts). The service will follow all recommended safety guidelines, including staying outdoors, capping attendance at 25 people (including worship leaders), mask-wearing, physical distancing, and COVID-19 screening questions. This will be a pilot for future outdoor services as a supplement or alternative to Zoom worship.
Participants will need to sign up in advance. There will be no more than 25 people in attendance including worship leaders. The deadline to sign up is Sunday, July 19 12:30 pm. Sign up to attend the service.
Those who sign up will receive an email either confirming the service or cancelling due to weather by 1 pm on Sunday, July 19.
You will need to attest to your health when you sign up and when you arrive at the service:
- Have you been around anyone COVID-19 positive?
- Have you had a cough, sore throat or trouble breathing in the last 72 hours?
- Have you lost your sense of smell, taste or do you have a rash, vomiting or diarrhea?
Everyone must wear a mask over their nose and mouth for the entire time we are gathered.
Everyone is expected to maintain a six-foot distance between people not in the same household.
Chairs will be provided, but the service will last less than 30 minutes, so standing or sitting on the grass are options.
There will be no singing.
There will be no Communion.
Bathrooms will not be available.
