The vivid imagery of the Epiphany hymn Brightest and Best of the Stars of the Morning (#84 in the Lutheran Book of Worship) inspired these drawings by UniLu Sunday School students. (Several enthusiastic teachers, including Annikki Bloomquist and her friend Schae, also contributed artwork.) These pictures were printed on color transparencies and projected while the children and congregation sang the hymn during services on February 7th, 1999. Click the "d" link below each image to read a description of it. If you'd like to hear the hymn and to learn more about it, follow this link to the Cyber Hymnal. Thanks to Bruce Brolsma for his painstaking work scanning and processing these images, and to Beth Duffany for writing descriptions for the visually impaired. If you can identify the artist who created the uncredited drawing, please let our webmaster know.
