The Young Adults and Graduate Students (YAGS) group gets together regularly for fellowship, socializing, discussion, and food. Most (but not all!) of us are in our 20s and 30s, and most (but not all!) have a connection to University Lutheran Church. Everyone is welcome at our activities, whether or not you have been to a YAGS event before. During the academic year, we gather once a month to share dinner and talk about theology or faith. In 2007-08, we'll enjoy a series called "Dinner and a Chef": one Tuesday evening a month, we will gather with a professional chef from the area, cook dinner together, and discuss how food, hunger, and abundance interact with our everyday lives. October 23, 2007 will be our first Tuesday evening; see the UniLu calendar for future dates and times. A couple of times a semester, we'll also meet for brunch after the 11:00 service on Sunday morning. These are informal times to gather and hang out with one another, get some great food, and talk about what's going on in our lives. Volunteers to help with food preparation are always welcome! Again, see the UniLu calendar for upcoming dates. YAGS also has an email list, a fairly low-traffic list used primarily to notify each other of upcoming events. To join the list, visit the YAGS-L web page and fill out the subscription form. Once you are a member of the list, you can unsubscribe by going to the same web page. If you have any difficulty in signing up or signing off, write to the listowner at owner-yags-l@unilu.org. |
