HAMBURGER STROGANOFF 1 cup chopped onion 1 clove minced garlic 1 tbsp oil or margarine 3 lbs. lean ground beef or turkey 4 tbsp flour 2 tsp salt 1/2 tsp pepper 1 lb sliced fresh mushrooms 2 cans undiluted cream of chicken soup 2 cups sour cream or plain yogurt 1 lb green beans 1 16 oz. package of flat egg noodles COOKING: Cook beans. Cook noodles. Sauté onion and garlic in oil or margarine. Add meat and stir until it is lightly browned. Add flour, salt, pepper, and mushrooms. Cook five minutes. Add soup and simmer uncovered for 5- 10 minutes. Stir in sour cream or yogurt. Mix in beans and noodles. Spread in pan. STORING AND DELIVERING: Cover with aluminum foil. Label with type of casserole and your name. Bring the casserole to church and put it in the church kitchen refrigerator. If you must cook it ahead of time and freeze it, thaw it in your refrigerator for two days before bringing it to the church.
