In October 2007, University Lutheran voted to establish an endowment fund committee by approving the following resolution:
Be It Resolved that UniLu establishes an Endowment Fund Committee with the dual responsibilities of (1) encouraging both current and deferred gifts to the endowment fund and (2) monitoring the investment of the fund. The Endowment Fund Committee of five voting members shall be elected annually by the church council at its March meeting. The term of office will be two years, with the first slate of members serving staggered terms. An individual may serve a maximum of two consecutive two-year terms and may be reconsidered for membership after a period of four years from the last day of an elected term. The pastors of University Lutheran and its elected treasurer will serve ex officio.
At its May 2009 meeting, the Church Council appointed the following voting members to the Endowment Fund Committee:
- Faith Bloomquist
- Christopher Lundeen
- Claye Metelmann
- Harry Rothmann
- Diane Stevens
As noted above, the pastors and the congregational treasurer serve as ex officio members of the Endowment Fund Committee.
