We invite you to sing with us! As members of the UniLu choir, we aim to bring high-quality music from a variety of traditions to the community's worship life. Our group includes students and "students of life," professional musicians and beginners who just love to sing. Choir director John Paulson (third from the right in the photo above) will be happy to tell you more at jpaulson@unilu.org, by phone at 617.876.3256 x205, or in person on Sunday mornings.

Our flexible rehearsal schedule is designed to allow even very busy people to take part. On most weeks during the academic year, we rehearse on Thursday evenings from 7:30 until 9:00 P.M. However, one week a month, we skip our Thursday rehearsal in favor of a Sunday morning session from 9:00 to 10:00 A.M., in which we introduce all of the music we will sing over the next month. In addition, we rehearse every Sunday morning from 10:15 through 10:45 A.M. throughout the academic year, to review the music we will sing at the 11:00 service that day.

Whether you can attend only the Thursday rehearsals, only the Sunday morning rehearsals, or both, you are welcome to sing with us. Please contact John Paulson to get the schedule of Sunday morning rehearsals for the year. When a Sunday rehearsal is scheduled, no rehearsal will take place the Thursday before.

Highlights of recent years have included:

  • Presenting the world premier performances of two cantatas by our distinguished composer-in-residence Bruce Brolsma in 2005 and 2006 (listen to Prepare The Way and God For Us)

  • Participating in the Shelter Benefit Concert series (see the 2004 and 2005 programs)

  • Presenting a cantata by Georg Telemann in May 2004, and several cantatas by Johann Sebastian Bach in 2002 and 2003 (details).
